Pre-Kindergarden Program

The focus for our “Young Minds” in our pre-k class is multifold.  Now it is time for the children to make the transition from the preschool environment into their next step, Kindergarten.  We are extremely fortunate to be part of Florida’s VPK (Voluntary Pre Kindergarten) Program.
Preparing a child to transition is made easier by following the guidelines set by the VPK Standards.  Reaching such benchmarks in physical health, social and emotional development, language, emergent literacy or cognitive development and general knowledge are taught by teachers meeting the strict requirements set forth by the Florida Department of Education.  Encouraging independence at this age is pleasantly balanced with the individual attention needed by all children.
